Getting Real with JavaBeans
The current EJB specification represents an important step towards component-based development and deployment of realistic Java application servers. Important aspects of the Enterprise Java Beans standard have yet to be specified, however. These aspects include inheritance, object relationships, and queries. A fundamental prerequisite for supporting these will be a means of communicating an EJB object model. This talk reviews how Secant Extreme Enterprise Server supports these capabilities and how Rational Rose is used to specify an EJB object model.
